5 things to remember!

HEY GUYS and GALS of 1/3, 1/5 and 1/8,

If you are reading this, GOOD for you because I have a few things to remind all of you.

1) I am announcing the date of the class test (Parts Of Speech). It will be either be held this coming Tuesday (Feb. 10) or Wednesday (Feb. 11) during lesson. Study hard and make sure you memorise the types of Parts of Speech. 

DO APPROACH and ASK ME if you have any doubt.

2) Remember the weekend homework due this Monday. Refer to the Readers' Digest article page 11 - 13 and answer in the space below the questions in the worksheet provided.

3) The DEADLINE for the CAMP DIARY PROJECT is this coming Monday as well. Do REMEMBER to write about 

a) about the recent camp

b) it must be based on ONE day experience

c) you MUST include designs to your diary

d) the diary MUST be TYPED and printed

e) write within the word limit (200 for express classes, 180 for NA)

f) FOLLOW the format!!! (date, orientation, series of events and conclusion)

4) Do REMEMBER to create your account on Bookcrossing website with the instructions given to you last week.

5) Lastly, there's a common test next Monday (Feb. 16) after school.

Japan trip

Hello there!

I am so sorry for not updating this blog during the holidays. I have been really busy with a lot of things. During the holidays, I managed to paint the four walls of my bedroom all by MYSELF!!! Can you believe that? It took me two days to complete the task. It was really a TIRING job. My back ached after painting the walls. 

I also went to IKEA to get a new wardrobe for my clothes. Hahahaha! I love my new wardrobe and I love my new mattress. I can now have a good night sleep! :)

Some of you know that I went to Japan for a short 5-day holiday. I went with my friends to Osaka and Kyoto. These two cities are in the main island of Japan called Honshu. Osaka is the third largest city in Japan after Tokyo and Yokohama. The two cities are quite close to each other. It took us about thirty minutes journey via the famous bullet train. For those who want to visit Japan, the bullet train service is called Shinkasen. 

On the first day in Osaka, we went to the Universal Studio! We spent one whole day at the theme park. It was really fun! Of course, we went on all major rides. The one I love the most was the roller coaster ride. It was called Hollywood Dream. The first peak was as high as a eight-storey building! It was a slow climb up. However, just as we had reached the top, the car accelerated down at a top speed. I could not help feeling as if I was falling from a building! The ride made me literally shake to my bones. Hahaha. My friend, on the other hand, closed his eyes in fear.

On the second day in Osaka, we went to visit a castle called Osaka-jo. It was an enjoyable trip. I learnt a lot about ancient Japan, the age of samurais, ninjas and wars between samurai families. After a tiring outing at the castle, we went shopping at downtown.  We bought a lot of stuff. The things were really nice and definitely not available in this country.

On the third day we moved on to Kyoto via Shinkasen. Kyoto is the royal city of Japan. This is where the Emperor live. Kyoto is very clean and the people of the city are very nice. It is a charming modern city with hundreds of old, traditional temples hidden among the tall buildings. We visited the top ten most famous temples in Kyoto plus the imperial palace within the next two days. 

I really enjoyed my trip to Japan especially the cold weather and the food. I miss Kyoto and I hope that I can visit the city again.
